The International Workshops on Religious Tourism (IWRT) are one of the world’s leading events dedicated to religious and spiritual tourism. This year’s edition will take place on February 19–20 in Fátima and on February 23 in Guarda, Portugal. We will also be there, actively participating in industry meetings and international exchanges of experience.

Did you know that when traveling to Ourem you can also visit Jurassic Park? Don't worry - the visit will not be as dangerous as those in the film series! In the park "Natural Monument In the Footsteps of Dinosaurs" in Ourém (Pegadas de Dinossáurios da Serra de Aire) you will see up close the prints of dinosaurs from 175 million years ago!

We are proud to announce that the idea of our cooperation between cities united in the Shrines of Europe association has been noticed and described in the leading Portuguese trade magazine devoted to, among others, travel and lifestyle "Volta ao Mundo".

Representatives of the tourism industry will be staying in Rimini from October 11 to 13, taking part in the TTG Travel Experience 2023 fair - the most important event of this type in Italy. Of course, our association - Shrines of Europe - could not be missing among the exhibitors.

Did you know that according to legend, in the 13th century, the holy house of Mary was moved from Palestine to Italy on angel wings? If this were true, this flight would be the first transport flight in the history of the world! And over what distance - the road from Palestine to Italy is over 2,200 km. But of course, when you are an angel, anything is possible.

Young people from all over the world will meet this year in Lisbon to experience World Youth Day together. The participants of the meeting will also have the opportunity to visit Fatima, where the Holy Father will arrive on August 5.
