Do not miss the annual Christmas Market, a traditional event, organized by Częstochowa Tourist Organization. Dozens of merchant stalls are lined up along the Holy Virgin Mary avenue, offering a plethora of holiday and regional products.
A beautiful Christmas nativity scene on Jasna Góra welcomes all faithful entering the Basilica. It presents a traditional scene of Christ in a wooden crib. This nativity scene also features live animals and moving figures.
And concerning culinary delights, you have to tast Trout from Złoty Potok. This is a very traditional dish in the region around Częstochowa It gained recognition thanks to Count Edward Raczyński, who established in Złoty Potok the oldest trout farm in Europe (est. 1881) using trout roe imported from Northern America.
